The kittens are all purring tonight! What a sweet sound. Spouse and I just finished putting in eye drops and giving Kelly some extra nourishment. I tucked all the babies in with their mama and she began to nurse them and purr loudly. Then she jumped out and away from them for a few minutes, but the purring continued. Kelly always purrs as she nurses her kittens and tonight I heard THEM purring for the first time. It might not be the first time they've made that contented noise, but I'd not heard it before now. I've read that kittens have the ability to purr after the first two or three days but it's hardly audible to the human ear. My babies have reached another milestone! Purr....fect.
